This picture of Jennifer is at the annual East Hampton Polar Bear Plunge into the Atlantic Ocean on New Year's Day! That sums up Jennifer: she is always ready for something fun and energizing!

Jennifer lives in Manhattan, but spends almost half her time in Amagansett, and has been coming to the East End since she was a baby. She became addicted to SUP'ing after her first ride with Gina several years ago, buying a board the very next day!  She is so grateful to Gina for creating Paddle Diva and inspiring so many women, both on and off the water.

Jennifer loves to challenge herself on the many races and distance paddles in the area, and her goal for 2012 is to participate in the SEA Paddle around Manhattan to raise funds and awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Jennifer is the founder and director of Bent On Learning, a non-profit organization that brings the practices of yoga and mindfulness to New York City underserved public schools. She is a certified yoga instructor, teaching yoga in schools for the past 10 years to at-risk teens and children on the Autism Spectrum.  She is also a NAAvigator for the National Autism Association, helping parents with newly diagnosed children navigate the complex world of special needs. Her favorite Autism charity is Surfer's Healing, with whom she volunteers, helping kids with Autism enjoy surfing and SUP'ing.  Jennifer's children, Chloe Rain (9) and Zachary Ocean (6) love the beach and SUPping, too!
